Love, the third word I want to write about. So much could be said about it but what should I write today? Love is everything. If only everything was love. It is suppose to be the base for every action taken – but how often we forget that. As much as I try to remember, I often forget to ask “What Would Love Do”, – as Karen Paolino asks in her magnificent book, titled the same- http://www.createheaven.com/index.php/angels/products/books/. When I’m confused about which direction to take or how to change my perspective to something that resonates and I remember to ask – “What Would Love Do”, the answer always comes so simply that I know it is absolutely the best route to take. My disturbing thoughts leave; I immediately feel better and usually make someone else feel better too. Isn’t that what love does? I think so.
It is so much better for me emotionally and on every level to follow the road of love because love is gentle. It is forgiving and soft. It dissolves anything harsh and spreads a warm protective coating on anything it touches. Love is energy of the highest kind, smoothing the way for anything or anyone who is blessed to feel it. The ironic thing is, it is abundantly available and accessible to each and everyone one of us, yet we forget to ask for its guidance. It is our birthright – our gift, so why is it so difficult to remember that we can choose to love and let it show us the way – an infinitely better way?
Please tell us what we need to know.
Love has a golden path leading those who follow to riches of the personal kind; the riches of peace and contentment where life’s gifts are bestowed, even among the times of challenge. You are learning to find these gifts among your illness, in spite of your illness, just for being open to the love of yourself – compassionately optimistic, caring for you in the best way possible – showering yourself with understanding and soothing yourself with gentleness and care. Love is yours for the asking. Give and you shall receive – for it seeks its own vibration. Love finds love, just as surely as anger or hatred find more of the same. Love and you will be loved. Open and it will come back. Whatever challenges you face, ask – What would love do – and listen to the answer. The words you hear – the ones that make your heart sing are those of love. With love, follow love.
I also realize that there have been times when love has found me without my asking and I’ve doubted its purity and mistrusted its intent. Instead of reveling in its beauty, I let mistrust and fear guide me and I turned my back on it. Or I feared letting it in, because I might have to deal with its loss down the road. I wonder how many loving experiences I missed because of this and how many opportunities I failed to return the love given to me. Too many I am sure. But today, I am conscious of this and I will remember that love is everything and try my hardest to make everything about love. No more will love meet my back. I will face forward with my arms outstretched and welcome love into my heart and soul because – well – that is what love would do.

Hi Joyce,

How lovely it would be for you to come on my blog site, Share Your Love Story. it is my http://abcPatty.wordpress.com site Share your link there, it will benefit others. I’ve blogged about my friend who has just gotten a cancer diagnosis too, and she too is undergoing chemo.

It’s so sad that we waste so much love. And we all do it, don’t we? I wish everyone in the world could read your post, today. I know it would inspire so many to make the necessary changes in their life. To appreciate one another more. To give more of their heart and soul. To be more open to the love coming their way, when they don’t even realize it.
Thank you for your beautiful words that truly come from your heart and your wisdom.
xoxo
Joyce this is beautiful and my favorite line is “I will remember that love is everything and try my hardest to make everything about love. No more will love meet my back. I will face forward with my arms outstretched and welcome love into my heart and soul because – well – that is what love would do.” Thank you for sharing. You are a gift.
Thank you once more for reminding me that love is always there to nourish one’s soul. I send you lots and lots of love, knowing I still have plenty for myself. Love, Linda
Joyce, I am honored to have met you yesterday and am enjoying your blog. Love is the most important, all encompassing emotion there is!! Loving what is (Byron Katie), is the key……..no matter how “what is” shows up.
Namaste’ & Blessings
Doreen
Joyce
I needed your words today. Why are we so afraid to just love and forget about getting hurt (which we probably wont).
Love, Chris
Valuable info. Lucky me I found your site by accident, I bookmarked it.
Joyce – Once again, you have stated so simply and purely what is in all our hearts.
Tracy Chapman (singer/artist) wrote a song with a line…”I’d like to live as if only love mattered”…just like you. Nothing else matters.
I found a wonderful link with quotes, pictures and you can play her song. Hope you enjoy it!

Joyce, what a beautiful essay on Love. I loved reading your words. I like how you said Love coats everything.
Hi Joyce, Have just dropped back in here to say hello there. It is so apparent that you are enjoying yourself with your writing and that you are so positive. I remember reading Holly Robinsons comments on her son. He is autistic. Holly quickly pointed out that in her family her son and everyone refers to him as “he has autism”. What i enjoyed about this was that they didnt let his condition define him and it gave him parameters to move beyond the label and to have a complete healing. Just opening up those doors are so important, miracles happen everyday, and i dont mean the supernatural kind only. So, Joyce good work on eating well and being connected with body and mind, i read that so clearly in your blog now. You inspire me as well. Just keep having fun what you are doing, i truly believe that is the way out, or i guess the way in ~ however your looking glass looks. The kindest most humblest good day to you. Rena
This is a beautiful post, and so true – what would love do, indeed. Amor Vincint Omnia…Love Conquers All. Thank you for this gentle reminder. XOX
